The adventure begins in book one, ‘THE OLD ONE,” when Amy, Ty and Parker accompany their father, who is an archaeologist to the Northwest Territories to do a dig at an ancient Inuit settlement. While at the dig the kids meet an old Inuit shaman who introduces them to the Inuit way of life, and the customs and duties of the shaman. At times while performing the duties of a shaman they are required to enter the spirit world of the shaman.
